  1. Thank you for introducing this topic of BASL. When we allow staff and students at BU to speak up about this type of communication to really widen our view on approaching basic education. We are really a healthy democratic safer America.

    Back forty-seven years ago when I was in the SED graduate program under a Title VII
    Grant I had no idea of such diverse opportunity for everyone. My interest was just basic teaching to regular bilingual children. Thank you for expressing this need to educate all those who are fortunate to receive funds from the government.

    I hope you’re able to also connect with the many African foreign Deaf students who’ve studied here.

    The 1st thing I noticed was their own signs for African names and places that ASL speaking Americans were not using.

    Good Luck with your endeavors before the “oldheads” and their language dies.
