The Education for Equity & Social Justice program at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development trains professionals to understand and address inequity, social injustice, and systemic exclusion in education, health, housing, policy, the criminal–legal system, and other areas of public life. Students who complete the Education for Equity & Social Justice program will have a solid grounding in making the world more equitable, just, and inclusive.

For students seeking positions as teachers, coaches, policymakers, and more, the Education for Equity & Social Justice program straddles academic disciplines from public health to science to sociology, and students are able to benefit from taking courses at other colleges across the University, including the School of Public Health and the College of Arts & Sciences.

Boston University offers a Master of Education (EdM) in Education for Equity & Social Justice. For those who already have a master’s degree and are seeking additional professional development, the graduate certificate will help them deepen their knowledge about the relationship between equity, justice, inclusion, and education.
