BU Wheelock offers a wide range of master’s degrees in education and human development (EdM/MA/MAT/MS) designed to further your career goals. Taught by faculty who are leaders in their fields, our specialized master’s programs provide the ideal blend of theoretical knowledge alongside skill-building exercises and experiential opportunities. The master of arts in teaching (MAT) enables individuals interested in earning the initial teaching licensure needed to become a successful classroom teacher at the middle or high school level.

Most of our master’s programs are offered at Boston University’s Charles River campus, with options for part-time and full-time study. A selection of our EdM/MA/MAT/MS programs are offered in a hybrid format or fully online.
