Nancy Nelson

Nancy J. Nelson, PhD, NCSP, is an Assistant Professor of Special Education in the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development at Boston University. Dr. Nelson has been a PI or co-PI on more than a dozen federally funded projects to develop or test the efficacy of math and reading interventions for students with or at risk for learning disabilities. Dr. Nelson regularly works with state, regional, and local education agencies to provide technical assistance related to the effective implementation of assessment and instruction in multitiered systems of support. Dr. Nelson is a former special education teacher and school psychologist. She has published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented more than 100 national and international conference sessions.
