Due to the large volume of applications and our processing requirements, UROP deadlines are strict. Late applications must be approved by UROP staff in advance, and extensions longer than 24 hours are rarely granted.

Summer 2026 Application Deadline
Friday, March 6 by 12:00 PM
*Award determinations for Summer 2026 will be released by early April.

Summer 2026 HAP Scholars Application Deadline
Friday, April 17 by 12:00 PM
*Award determinations for Summer 2026 HAP Scholars will be released by early May.

All applications for summer 2025 UROP funding are now closed. 

Submission Deadlines

Learn when applications for the UROP program are due.

Two separate online components are required to apply for UROP funding:

1. Student application
2. Recommendation letter from the research mentor

Mentor recommendations are due by midnight on the application due date. Our application system will notify your mentor once you have applied and direct them to the recommendation form. However, your mentor may complete the faculty recommendation forms at any time prior to your application submission. The page is access restricted via Kerberos login to faculty and staff.
