Biography
Dr. Derderian-LeBlang is a neuroscientist specializing in translational studies of neurodegenerative disorders. Her expertise includes engineering human iPSC-derived disease models and applying advanced biochemical and imaging techniques to elucidate molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration. She is particularly interested in how glial–neuronal interactions contribute to these disorders, with the overall goal of identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets in disorders that impact both the central and peripheral nervous systems. She maintains an appointment as a Research Collaborator in the Department of Cancer Biology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she currently leads studies investigating chemotherapy-induced neurodegeneration.
