Degree Requirements
Students who wish to enter the combined BS/MS program must have achieved the following as of fall semester of the junior year:
- A minimum GPA of 3.6 (or better) overall and a GPA of 3.75 (or better) in the six specified Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences courses
- Completion of all of the natural science requirements and both of the required psychology courses
- Completion of a minimum of 54 credits earned at Boston University
Students who meet these criteria are invited to apply to the combined program in the fall of the junior year. If accepted, students may still elect to return to the standard undergraduate program at any time during the junior or senior year. Before taking any graduate-level courses (SH700 and above), students must have completed three full years of undergraduate study and at least 96 credits.
Students in the combined program will receive a Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences in May of the senior year. In order to graduate with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, all MS graduate program requirements must be completed.
