Intern Presentation Series: ChRIS & Artificial Intelligence

Last Friday afternoon in Red Hat’s Boston office, Collaboratory interns came together to participate in the first of series of weekly intern presentations.

ChRIS intern presentation, 6/22/2018

The first presentation was given by two Boston University students,
Chloe and Parul, on ChRIS, a web-based neuroimaging and informatics
system for collecting, organizing, processing, visualizing, and
sharing of medical data. This summer the duo will be working on
increasing the scalability and power of application’s back-end
utilizing Red Hat technologies like OpenShift and OpenStack.
Eventually, the application will be deployed to the Massachusetts Open
Cloud.

Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps)

AIOps intern presentation, 06/22/2018

The second presentation was given by four students working for the AI
Center of Excellence on Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations
(AIOps). The project encompasses several components, such as Anomaly
Detection, Prometheus, and Insights, which will all utilize big data,
data science, and machine learning to enhance Red Hat’s current
operations and portfolio of products.
