Bio: What role does creative expression play in how we search for meaning when advancements in science and technology replace religious certainty? Drawing on 20th-century philosophy, psychoanalysis, and her own background in computer science, Sarah’s research explores dimensions of human creation, particularly our psychological motivations, as well as its impact on interpersonal relationships. Her current work concentrates on Freud and Ricoeur—identifying the psychoanalyst’s critique of science and technology embedded within his critique of religion and analyzing Ricoeur’s hermeneutic interpretation and discussion of creative expression.
