Cory Willingham

Interests: Poetry, political science esp. early 20th century political theory, languages, and activism.

Cory Willingham, the Former Department Administrator for Philosophy, manages overarching administrative and financial affairs for the department. They are responsible for coordinating with the Chair and faculty for planning classes, events, and purchases, and for coordinating with central administration and helping to manage the graduate program.

Cory is also a poet, editor, essayist, translator, and general literary rabble-rouser with a passion for dead languages and living art. Their work can be found in several of BU’s own publications (Hoochie, Burn, The Core Journal, The Emerald Review) as well as in Burning House Press, Z Publishing (where they were recognized as one of Massachusetts’ best Emerging Poets in 2019), Clarion, Hawk & Whippoorwill, and Peach Velvet Mag.
