Interests: Creative writing, rock climbing, guitar & songwriting, languages, labor activism.
Ben Roy, the (former) Senior Program Coordinator for Philosophy, assists with departmental administration and offers support for registration, student services, event coordination, digital content development, and administrative needs for all members of the BU Philosophy community.
Ben also writes short stories, poetry, and songs. He loves playing the guitar and singing, both of which he picked up in earnest about a year and a half ago. He started rock climbing in Feb ’22, mostly focusing on bouldering, and is curious about the wall at the FitRec. He also enjoys learning new languages, and currently has his fingers in Ancient & Modern Greek, Latin, Biblical Hebrew, and French. He spent the last year working as a labor organizer for the UAW, and looks forward to contributing to L2324 and working to embetter the BU community in his time here. You can find his music on Instagram and TikTok @thebenroyshow, and you can find him more often than not in his office at STH 405 (come say hi!).
