Interests: History and Philosophy of Medicine, Medical Ethics, Political philosophy, Misinformation

I am interested in the confluence of the history and philosophy of medicine, medical ethics, political philosophy, public policy, and disinformation. Taken together, I inquire what institutional forces have led to the proliferation of medical disinformation, what methods have been effective and ineffective in combating disinformation, what attracts the public to disinformation, and what can be done to remedy the situation altogether. Relatedly, I am interested in the social, political, legal, history of distinguishing and regulating medicine from quackery.

Prior to entering the BU philosophy program, I received my Master’s in Philosophy from Western Michigan University, and I was awarded my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh. Outside of academic philosophy, I enjoy walks with my dog, Charlie. I also enjoy chess, reading near water, horror, thrifting, and creative projects. My favorite films are Parasite, Jaws, and There Will be Blood.
