Alumna Anna Stroinski (’19) Selected for Fulbright Award
The Department wishes a warm congratulations to alumna Anna Stroinski (’19) on her achievements, as she has been selected for a Fulbright Award!
Anna graduated from BU in 2019 with majors in History and Philosophy, and was awarded the Department of Philosophy’s Peter A. Bertocci Award for Philosophical Excellence. As a Karbank Fellow, Anna completed a documentary project on communism in Poland. Since graduation, Anna has continued her hard work as a scholar, and will use her Fulbright Award to complete an MA in History at Durham University in the United Kingdom. “My project,” Anna writes, “will explore the intellectual, transnational history of striking and labor protest tactics more broadly in the US and UK. It tracks the life and history of a particularly important idea — the modern labor strike — and how it travels and changes across borders.” Anna insists that her BA in Philosophy is an integral foundation of this research.
Congratulations, Anna, and best of luck in your new program and research!
