Recalls

If someone else has an item out that you need, you can recall it. When you are logged into BU Libraries Search, you will see an option to “Request” the book. You will receive an email when the book is ready for pick-up.

Renewals

See what you have checked out and renew items yourself using your Library Account. Regular circulating items may be renewed as many times as you wish unless the item is recalled.

If your patron record is blocked, you will need to clear your record before you can renew anything. Contact the library you borrowed materials from or call Mugar Library at (617) 353-3732 and they will help you figure out how to clear your account.

The Science and Engineering Library and Pickering Education Resources Library are the only libraries that allow renewals by phone.

Returns

You can return library items to any branch library. When the libraries aren’t open, there are book drops outside of all of the libraries except for Science and Engineering.

My Library Account

You can visit your Library Account to check the due dates of any materials you have out. You can access your account from the search bar on the homepage.
