Biography

Hon. Vickie L. Henry (’93) is an associate justice of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She was appointed to the Court by Governor Charles Baker and began serving on December 22, 2015. Justice Henry graduated cum laude, from Wellesley College in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She graduated summa cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1993. Prior to joining the bench, Justice Henry was an associate and then partner at the law firm of Foley Hoag LLP, where she focused on intellectual property disputes, commercial litigation and product liability. From 2011 until her appointment to the Court, Justice Henry was a senior staff attorney and Youth Initiative Director at Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD). As the leader of the Youth Initiative she was involved in public policy advocacy, education and strategic litigation efforts in New England and on a national level.
