Biography
Mike DeRienzo is an attorney, teacher, and author with a bachelors from Bentley University and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law. Shortly after law school, Mike began his career as New York City litigator with a focus on Immigration, Art and Cultural Heritage Law, Mediation, Civil Rights, Employment Law, and Criminal Law. He has appeared in front of courts all across the country fighting for his client’s rights in state and federal trial and appellate courts. His current practice is limited to Immigration, ADR, Arts and Cultural Heritage Law. Outside the classroom, Mike has been a teacher for students of all ages including working with middle school students from low-income households to learn to love history, high school students to appreciate the laws that govern the world, and law students and lawyers to understand the nuances of the law. Mike also is writer, with bylines in news organizations across the world, has owned and operated businesses across a variety of ventures, as well as a high school hockey coach. Most importantly, Mike is a husband and father to a daughter and an overly zealous adult puppy.
