Biography
Laura D’Amato teaches first-year Lawyering Skills and upper-class Persuasive Writing at BU Law. She is the 2023 recipient of the Michael Melton Award for Excellence in Teaching. In 2024, she completed a two-year rotation as director of the Lawyering Program. Prior to joining BU Law, Laura was a litigation partner at Goulston & Storrs PC, where she focused her practice on fiduciary litigation, employment disputes, professional malpractice claims, and real estate matters. She was also deeply involved in the firm’s associate recruiting, professional development and pro bono programs, including the Discovering Justice/Citizens Schools Mock Trial Program. She has served on the boards of De Novo (formerly Community Legal Services and Counseling Center (CLSACC)) and hopeFound (prior to its merger with Pine Street Inn).
