Biography

Claire Lee is the Associate Director of Professional Development for the American Law, Banking and Finance, Intellectual Property and Tax LLM programs.  Prior to working at Boston University School of Law, Claire provided career and professional development advising to LLM, JD and international law students as the Assistant Director at Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to pursuing her passion in law student professional development, Claire dedicated her legal career to employment and business immigration law, representing individual, educational, and business clients.  She started her legal career as an associate attorney at a firm in Seattle where she represented clients in the areas of civil rights and employment law before state and federal courts. More recently, as a managing attorney at a business immigration firm in Boston, Claire represented individual and corporate clients on the full spectrum of temporary work visas and employment-based permanent residency process. In that role, she advised international students, foreign athletes, artists, scholars and highly skilled professionals through the employment-based visa and immigration process and counseled U.S. corporate employers seeking to hire and sponsor foreign national students and employees. Claire received her B.A. in political science from the University of Washington and her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. She is a member of the Washington Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. Claire is fluent in spoken and written Korean.
