Should we reform Section 230?

For more than 20 years, Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act has provided websites with immunity from liability for what their users post. This decision has shaped the internet as we know it. However, in today’s social media environment, Section 230 has come under fire from both the left and the right. These critics raise the question: Does Section 230 need updating or substantive change in the age of social media?
