Law Complex Building Access

Swipe Access

• The Law Complex is swipe access only for the BU community Monday – Thursday from 8am to 8pm, and Friday – Sunday from 8am to 5pm.
• BU Law students also have swipe access from 8pm to 11pm Monday – Thursday and from 5pm to 11pm Friday – Sunday.
• During quiet study periods and exams, access to the Law Complex is restricted to BU Law students, staff, and faculty.

Building Access During Breaks

• Summer Break – During the summer, the Law Complex will either be swipe access only for the BU community or just for BU Law students, staff, and faculty. Updates to follow for Summer 2026.
• Spring Break and Holidays – The Law Complex will be swipe access only for BU Law students, staff, and faculty.
• Intersession – The Law Complex will be closed and swipe access only for BU Law faculty and staff.

FAQs

When will the Law Complex be completely open (i.e., no swipe access)?

The Law Complex may be manually unlocked during certain public events. If this happens, signage will be posted and notice given.

When is the Law Complex completely closed to students?

During holidays and Intersession.
