Application Fee Waiver Options
BU Law offers several types of application fee waivers.
To ensure your request is processed correctly, please submit your fee waiver request before submitting your application. Application fees are non-refundable and cannot be refunded once paid. Please submit your request only once. Our office will respond to your request within 5 business days.
Request an Application Fee Waiver
The BU Law application fee waiver request form for the current application cycle is available from September 1, 2026 through April 1, 2027.
Need-Based Fee Waiver
If you received an LSAC need-based fee waiver:
Complete the fee waiver request form and upload documentation confirming your LSAC fee waiver.
If you did not receive an LSAC Waiver:
You have two options.
- If you are currently enrolled in an educational institution, please complete the fee waiver request form and upload the requested document.
- If you are not currently a student, please complete the fee waiver request form.
Service-Based Fee Waiver
Complete the fee waiver request form and upload the requested document.
It is our policy to grant fee waivers to applicants who are currently in public service programs such as Teach for America, Peace Corps, Americorps/VISTA, City Year, or the U.S. Armed Forces. Service-based fee waivers are also granted to U.S. military veterans.
Merit-Based Fee Waiver
BU Law offers select candidates merit-based fee waivers through the LSAC Candidate Referral Service (CRS). If you did not receive a merit-based fee waiver through CRS, you may request consideration by completing the request form.
