Joseph Basile

Biography

Joseph Basile is managing director of Pari Passu M&A Mediation LLC, an independent specialist practice that focuses on mediating disputes arising from mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and control and minority investment transactions. He also is regularly engaged as a consulting and testifying expert in M&A-related litigation. Before founding Pari Passu, Mr. Basile served as a partner in the M&A practices of Weil, Gotshal & Manges; Foley Hoag; and Bingham McCutchen; and as a senior advisor at Hogan Lovells. Earlier in his career, he was a law professor at Western New England University School of Law, where he was awarded tenure and recognized for excellence in teaching. Mr. Basile has also taught corporate finance and M&A courses at the University of Connecticut School of Law. He received his JD, cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and his AB, summa cum laude, from Stonehill College.
