This conference will celebrate the successes of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act at its 20-year anniversary. Presenters and panelists will discuss emerging legal challenges to improve protections for survivors, prosecute perpetrators, and prevent human trafficking. The event also will examine new solutions and tools to fight forced labor and sex trafficking. Speakers and panelists will respond to key questions about future anti-trafficking reform, including: What do past successes teach us? What are new, emerging challenges in the fight for legal protection for victims? What principles should govern future legal reform?

The conference will end with a reception and the launch of a newly updated manual for lawyers representing trafficking survivors in Massachusetts.
