Travel Ban

There is an expectation that President Trump will impose a travel ban based on previous actions during his first administration, campaign promises, and widespread media reports.

A travel ban would prohibit entry to the US and pause visa processing for nationals of certain designated countries in specific nonimmigrant visa categories.

While there have been numerous media reports about a red/orange/yellow color-coded chart that would identify certain countries and particular visa categories that could be banned or denied entry to the US, there has not been confirmation by any official government source.
