As a Senior ISSO Coordinator, Rachael Kerr provides administrative assistance to a diverse international student, scholar, and employee population of nearly 12,000. She advises clients on basic immigration and university procedures and performs preliminary immigration processing.

Prior to joining Global Programs, Rachael worked as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for the Michigan Language Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Rachael has also taught ESL with EF English First to students in China and with a private language center in Nagoya, Japan. She has additional experience planning internship abroad programs and serving as a Graduate Program Assistant for the Graduate School at Michigan Technological University.

Rachael holds a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in Film, TV, and Media from the University of Michigan.

As an undergraduate, Rachael studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has traveled extensively in Europe and Southeast Asia. Rachael enjoys studying new languages, keeping up with the latest movies, and fencing.
