Code of Student Responsibilities

BU is dedicated to maintaining a safe, supportive spaces where students can explore interests, develop leadership skills, and build meaningful connections. All students are expected to uphold high standards of conduct, follow University policies and laws, and contribute positively to the community.

It is essential that students understand their rights and responsibilities as members of the BU community. The University promotes open communication and constructive conflict resolution, offering resources and support to help students navigate challenges and resolve disputes respectfully and effectively.

By enrolling at BU, students agree to respect the rights of others, adhere to the Code of Student Responsibilities, and accept responsibility for their actions. The University’s motto—Learning, Virtue, Piety—reflects its core values and commitment to excellence in both academics and behavior. 

The Code of Student Responsibilities is overseen by the Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) and Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR).
