Your Upcoming Halloween Adventures
The following message was sent to all students on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021
Dear Friends,
Sweet dreams of pleasant surprises from our routines that are about to happen within the annual festiveness that comes with Halloween. (Cue the eye roll right about now!) We hope folks get the aesthetic of your costume; and, that your weekend is wicked live. Have all the fun you can stand, but above all else, stay safe.
As you plan your upcoming evenings and weekends, I offer a friendly reminder that lots of folks are out celebrating and showing off their costumes. If the vibe feels right for you, go ahead! Jump around, chant, dance, sing with others, and remain aware of your surroundings. We care about you and offer additional friendly reminders: make plans to get back to your room or apartment; stay away from people acting in a way that may harm or injure you; be alert for scammers, thieves, and people who may try to take advantage of you (even though they may be dressed as cupid, and especially if they are dressed as a clown); and, replica and toy weapons as part of your costume are a terrifying and terrible idea.
It’s that time when this City is abuzz, once again, with cheer (and, this year, when notions of masks converge).
Stay safe,
Kenneth Elmore
