What is Senior Breakfast?

The Senior Breakfast is a BU tradition that predates the George Sherman Union, Warren Towers, and Walter Brown Arena. The exact year is not known, but we do have photos from the 1952 and 1953 Senior Breakfasts to show that it at least goes back that long. Back in those days, the event was held on Marsh Plaza, and alumni were invited. (No, we don’t know what they did if it rained.)

Just like the original versions of the event, the undergraduate senior class is celebrated. Also, we announce the news everyone has been waiting for: this year’s Commencement speakers, Honorary Degree Recipients, and the 2025 Senior Week events!

On the menu for this year’s Senior Breakfast is as follows:

  • Assorted Pastries & Fruit Bowl
  • Spring Asparagus and Southern Vermont Cheddar Egg Stata
  • Lyonnaise Red Bliss Potatoes Dusted with Toasted Fennel and Main Sea Salt
  • Harwood Smoked Chicken Sausage Links
  • Tofu Scramble with Sauteed Grape Tomato Spinach & Herbs (V) (available upon request)
  • Coffee & Water

Please notify your server if you have a dietary restriction, as we have alternative meals upon request.
