Lost and Found
If you lost an item, stop by our office to check if we have received the lost item. If the item is not in our system, you can provide us information on the item so we may contact you if it is turned into us. If you find a lost item in the George Sherman Union or anywhere near the building, please also turn it into our office.
We hold valuable items (wallets, keys, credit cards, passports, etc.) for two business days. After this time period, we bring them to Boston University Police Department, located at 32 Harry Agganis Way.
We hold other items for two weeks. After this time period, we donate them to Goodwill.
George Sherman Union Community Spaces
We give access to the Islamic Prayer Room and Center for Gender & Sexuality Awareness to any BU student.
A variety of spaces in the GSU are available for reservation by student groups, faculty, staff and outside organizations. (A fee may be required for outside organizations.) Student groups interested in a space in the GSU should reserve them through 25Live. All other reservations in the GSU are handled through Events and Conferences.
The University’s Scarlet Safewalk connects BU students looking for a late night transportation option with Scarlet Safewalk student ambassadors. Between the hours of 9 pm to Midnight, each night during the Academic Year, students can request a walk from an ambassador. To request an ambassador, students should call (617) 353-4877.
