What We Do
Equipment Loan Outs
Our office loans out the following items to students and student groups on a first-come-first-served basis:
- Mac and PC chargers
- iPhone and Android chargers
- A/V cables, VGA and HDMI mac adaptors for mini-display port
- Easels
We will hold your BUID while you have the item. There is a two-hour limit on borrowing these items (unless they are being used for an event.) Students who do not return items on time will no longer be able to borrow from our office.
Student Group Storage
Student Storage keys are managed by the Student Leadership & Impact Center (SLIC). The SLIC office is located on the garden level of the GSU. BU student organizations on campus are eligible to apply for storage space. If you are interested, please have one of your E-Board members contact Margaret Babson at SLIC for more information.
Lost and Found
If you’ve lost an item, please stop by our office to see if it has been turned in. If it’s not in our system, you can provide us with details so we can contact you if it is later received. If you find a lost item in or near the George Sherman Union, please bring it to our office.
Valuable items (such as wallets, keys, credit cards, or passports) are brought to the Boston University Police Department at 32 Harry Agganis Way.
All other items are held for two weeks before being donated to Goodwill.
University Reservations
A variety of spaces in the GSU are available for reservation by student groups, faculty, staff, and outside organizations. (A fee may be required for outside organizations.) Student groups interested in a space in the GSU should reserve it through 25Live. All other reservations in the GSU are handled through Events and Conferences.
