We re-defined and re-asserted the meaning of America this summer:

A mosque; a community center; a place to hang;

Goodbye to propositions;

Monsters at the bottom of the sea;

Trumpet drones and quivering lips at futbol games;

5 years after the storm;

new civil rights at Lincoln’s feet;

vampires as honest citizens;

war;

peace.
