Introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

When we think about the why, what, and how of learning, the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework shines a light on how multiple means of engagement, representation, action, and expression can support all learners. In this virtual keynote, Luis Perez, a consultant for premier UDL organization CAST, will provide an introduction to UDL and its foundation in the science of learning. Please join us to learn more about UDL and the ways in which it can support your students’ learning.

This keynote kicks off a year-long learning community on UDL at Boston University sponsored by the Center for Teaching & Learning and Digital Learning & Innovation. The keynote speaker, Luis Perez, works as a technical assistance specialist for the National Center on Accessible Educational Materials to promote the creation, delivery and use of high quality accessible educational materials and technologies to support equitable learning opportunities for all students.
