Background
Megan received a B.S. in Kinesiology from San Diego State University in 2022. As an undergraduate, she conducted research at SDSU’s Center of Neurotechnology studying the use of Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs) in Parkinson’s disease.
Megan joined the CTE Center as a Clinical Research Assistant in September of 2022. She is a study coordinator for the Veterans Affairs ALS and BU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center brain banks, and collaborates with the Framingham Heart Study brain bank to conduct retrospective informant interviews with families, comparing these members as controls for the UNITE Brain Bank. She also leads retrospective informant interviews in clinical calls with the UNITE Brain Bank. In addition, she is a member of the brain donation pager team.
Research Interests
Megan is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health at Boston University with a concentration in epidemiology and biostatistics. She has a growing interest in environmental epidemiology, particularly in understanding how external socioenvironmental factors affect neurological health and chronic disease onset.
