Research Interests

His research interests include understanding the effects of sport and exercise experiences on people’s daily lives. He is particularly interested in exploring how youth sport and physical activity experiences influence–for better or worse–the holistic development of young people, and how sport, exercise, and physical culture interact with broader socioeconomic and cultural systems and structures to influence areas such as public health and social inequality.
