Bio
Jaclyn holds a Bachelor of Art in Digital Design, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a Master of Science in Pathology Laboratory Sciences. While her career began in the arts, she transitioned to a focus on science because of its broad ability to help others. As an undergraduate, she gained hands-on laboratory skills that initiated her career in various scientific fields, including animal husbandry, necropsies, and Mohs histology. As a graduate student, her research focused on the impacts of microRNAs on Alzheimer’s disease models.
She joined the VA Brain Bank in December of 2025 and currently serves as a Research Assistant and Histotechnician. She thoroughly enjoys both the challenging and detail-oriented processes as well as the knowledge that her work contributes to helping families receive valuable information about their loved ones. In the near future, she plans to go to medical school and work toward becoming a pathologist with a focus in forensics.
