Background
Grace graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in May 2023 with a bachelors in science after majoring in Biology. At UMass Lowell, Grace was a 2 year captain of her division 1 lacrosse team, a member of the Honors College, and the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She also minored in STEM Education through a program called UTeach where she spent time teaching in high school science classrooms. She spent a summer working at Burke Neurological Institute researching the α-Ketoglutarate Dehydrogenase Complex and how this enzyme plays a key role in neurodegeneration while publishing a literature review at the end of the summer.
Research Interests
Grace is interested in CTE research and wants to investigate a way to both prevent and help treat CTE before an athlete passes away. She has a background in cellular and molecular Biology which she wants to use to conduct research in the sports neurology field.
