Anna Kopp

Anna earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2021. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Women’s Club Soccer Team, Active Minds Club, and passionate about advancing medical standards in sports medicine and promoting female athlete inclusion in sports medicine research. She continued her graduate education at University of Massachusetts Lowell and completed both her Master of Science in Applied Biomedical Science and Graduate Certificate Degree in Clinical Pathology in 2023. As a graduate student, her interests pertained to Alzheimer’s disease and the feasibility and accessibility of biomarkers in connection with early disease detection and monitoring.

Anna joined the Boston University CTE Center and the National PTSD Brain Bank in 2024 and currently serves as a Neuropathology Research Assistant and Histotechnician. Her professional research interests involve the development of minimally invasive biomarkers specific to CTE and Alzheimer’s Disease, youth and adolescence concussion awareness and advocacy, and the relationship between repeated head impacts among soccer players and the effects on their overall health. This fall Anna will be pursuing her MBA with a Health Sector Management concentration from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and was recently selected as Forté Fellow for the Fall 2026 cohort at Questrom.
