Bio
Adriana received a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychological Science from Indiana University Bloomington in 2025. As a research assistant in the Clinical Neurotrauma Laboratory under Dr. Keisuke Kawata, she investigated the effects of sub-concussive head impacts in athlete populations. Additionally, she completed research in Alzheimer’s disease and Frontotemporal dementia at the Northwestern Medicine Mesulam Center for Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease, working under Dr. Changiz Geula as part of the 2023 and 2024 Northwestern University Summer Research Opportunity Program cohorts.
She joined the BU CTE Center as a Research Specialist in the UNITE Brain Bank in 2025, where she conducts retropsective informant interviews. She is also a member of the brain donation pager team. Her research interests focus on exposure to repetitive head impacts, neurodegenerative disease, and dementia with a particular emphasis on how repetitive head impact exposure influences cognitive aging.
