Bio

Olivia received a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience with a minor in Deaf Studies from Boston University in 2025. As an undergraduate, she conducted research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Filbin Lab, where she studied diffuse midline gliomas using single-cell culturing techniques. She also interned at the Social & Affective Neuroscience Lab at the University of Haifa, where she supported fNIRS-based studies on brain synchrony, empathy, and motor learning. In addition, she worked as an EMT in the Greater Boston area for four years.

Olivia joined the BU CTE Center as an intern in early 2024 and began working full-time as a Clinical Research Assistant later that year. As a member of the UNITE Clinical Team, she assists with ongoing research on CTE among military veterans and former college football players. She also supports the pathology team with slide scanning, conducts retrospective informant interviews for the UNITE Brain Bank, and serves as a member of the brain donation pager team.
