Biography
Shahar received a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Medicine, Health and Society (MHS) from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2023. He joined the CTE Center in April 2019 as a remote research intern. Remotely, he studied a genetic risk factor of CTE. At Vanderbilt, Shahar examined the effects of Arrestin proteins on the Amphetamine and Cocaine neural pathways. He became a full-time research specialist in September of 2023. He plans to pursue his M.D in the future.
Research Interests
Shahar is interested in the intersection of neurological disorder treatments and global health advocacy.
