Dean Sheppard

Dean Sheppard is the Recruitment Coordinator and Deputy Grants Administrator for the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (BU ADRC). He earned his Master of Public Health from Boston University in 2022, along with a certificate in Healthcare Management, after receiving his Bachelor of Public Health from the University of Florida in 2021.

In his role, Dean connects individuals with research studies which advance discoveries that improve the lives of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias both today and for future generations. He also supports the administration of research grants, ensuring investigators have the resources and tools needed to conduct high-quality, participant-centered research.

As a premature triplet, Dean was introduced to the healthcare system at an early age and witnessed firsthand the importance of access to quality medical care. That experience inspired his commitment to helping others access opportunities that advance research and improve health outcomes.

Dean joined the BU ADRC and CTE Center in January 2023 and is proud to contribute to the shared mission of advancing innovative Alzheimer’s disease research through collaboration, scientific excellence, and community engagement.
