Academic Advising
Prospective Students
A team of dedicated graduate admissions advisors is available to guide incoming MET Computer Science students on applications for admission. If you are interested in applying to our Department, please email csadmissions@bu.edu and an enrollment advisor will reach out to you with further details.
Current Students
Faculty Academic Advisors

- Program curriculum questions
The Department of Computer Science has one main Academic Advisor Andrew Gorlin. Students are also assigned a faculty academic advisor. Students can find the faculty academic advisor assigned to them in the myBU Student Portal under “Advisor Information”.
Department Academic Advisors / Administrators
Are able to assist with:
- Department policy questions
- Program requirement clarifications
- Transfer credit/waiver requests
- Applications for graduation
- Program/Concentration change requests
Students can contact the department to speak with an administrator, using the information under “Contact” Students also have a designated Department administrators who are assigned by program format to assist with navigating the university. The current breakdown of administrators based on program format is shown below.
