Data Analytics Intern
Bartaco is looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join their team and help drive data-informed decisions across the business. This role will focus on supporting our internal AI platform and partnering with the marketing team to deliver insights around guest segmentation, marketing initiatives, and ROI. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about using data to enhance the guest experience and support bartaco’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the maintenance and enhancement of Bartaco’s internal AI analytics platform. • Assist with integrating new data sources and automating data pipelines. • Help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across departments. • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for platform improvement and innovation. Marketing Analytics + Insights • Partner with the marketing team to evaluate campaign performance and measure ROI. • Analyze guest data to identify segmentation opportunities and behavioral trends. • Create reports and dashboards to communicate key insights and track marketing KPIs. • Support the development of data-driven recommendations for improving guest engagement and marketing effectiveness.

Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Proficiency with SQL, Excel, Microsoft Azure, and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to tell a story through data

Summit Lab
Volunteer Opportunity
The SUMMIT Lab, in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences (900 Commonwealth Avenue), is seeking motivated students to join as volunteer Research Assistants. The lab focuses on improving adolescent well-being by strengthening caregiver and peer relationships, reducing substance use risk, and enhancing treatment outcomes for teens.
Research Assistants will contribute to data management, organization, and analysis across projects examining how caregivers can support teens in treatment and developing prevention programs for preadolescents receiving behavioral health care.
No prior research experience is required. Approx. 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule based on availability. This position is ideal for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in psychological or related research.

UROP
Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program
Apply by Friday, December 12, at 12 pm
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) is now accepting applications for spring 2026 funding. UROP supports undergraduate students conducting research in collaboration with BU faculty mentors. Two types of stipends are available.
* Student Research Award: Fully funded by UROP for up to five hours of research per week.
* Faculty Matching Grant: Funding shared equally between UROP and the faculty mentor for 5, 8, or 10 hours of research per week.
Awards are paid through the Student Employment Office over a 10-week period beginning in February.
Faculty mentors must submit a letter of recommendation for applicants by 11:59 pm on Friday, December 12. Faculty and students are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and funding descriptions before moving forward with an application. Note that students can only receive UROP funding twice.

Women's Foundation of Massachusetts
WFMA is a data-driven organization currently beginning a search for an Index Research Fellow to support its annual index project, which analyzes philanthropic giving to women- and girls-serving nonprofits across the state. The role involves extracting data from the IRS database using Python and developing spreadsheets to facilitate data analysis.
