Current Research:
Phenotypic plasticity is the ability to produce distinct phenotypes in response to environmental variation. My project utilizes functional genetics and transcriptomics to delineate the role of transcription factor FOXO in regulating horn plasticity in Othophagus beetles. The goal of our work is to elucidate the molecular underpinnings of developmental plasticity, centered on an evolutionarily conserved transcription factor, and advance our understanding of how environmental inputs shape organismal form and function.
