Katey Lesneski Awarded Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund Grant
PhD candidate, Katey Lesneski, of the Kaufman lab was awarded a Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund Grant. These competitive grants were established to provide individual species conservation initiatives. Katey’s project will focus on identifying bleaching-resistant colonies of the endangered staghorn coral, Acropora cervicornis, in Turneffe Atoll, Belize for conservation and restoration.
Evan Kristiansen Awarded AGA Grant
PhD candidate, Evan Kristiansen, of the Mullen lab was recently awarded a $10,000 American Genetic Association (AGA) grant for his research linking genomic patterns of divergence and introgression across a butterfly hybrid zone.
