I’m a member of the Sensory Morphology and Anthropological Genomics Lab where I study population genetics and high altitude adaptation of the critically endangered yellow-yailed and Peruvian woolly monkeys advised by Dr. Christopher Schmitt.

How did you get your research position?

I took a course with Professor Schmitt and spoke to him after lecture about research opportunities in primatology, which eventually lead to a position in his lab.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in?

In addition to being a biology peer mentor, I’m a transfer to BU (TTBU) mentor, and a member of the Scarlet Key Honor Society.

What is your favorite dining spot on or around campus?

What is your favorite BU memory?

Being able to conduct field work in Peru collecting morphological measurements and fecal samples noninvasively from wild woolly monkeys.
