BU’s got the blues
Blues artist Lou Pride and others will make music at CFA this Friday.

The sounds of soul will fill the College of Fine Art’s concert hall on Friday, October 6, at the True Blues Heritage Celebration. Headlining the concert is Lou Pride, winner of the Living Blues Magazine Most Outstanding Blues Recording Artist award.
Pride is an old-fashioned shouter, belting out blues stories with a classic soulful delivery. Also playing are Roy Roberts and the Roy Roberts Band and Big Ron Hunter. The festival will end with an old-time jam featuring all the performers.
Two afternoon workshops with the artists, from 3 to 6 p.m., will examine the musical and cultural trends of the blues. The mini-festival runs from 3 to 11 p.m. in the CFA Concert Hall, at 855 Commonwealth Ave. Tickets are $15 and $10 with a BU ID.
