In the latest installment of our video series Leaders Among Us, Boston University President Melissa Gilliam speaks with political science major Maisha Kazi (CAS’26). During their conversation, Kazi talks about the pride she takes in being a Thomas M. Menino Scholar, what it was like to intern at Boston City Hall for City Councilor Sharon Durkan as part of the City Scholar Summer Fellowship Program, run by BU’s Government & Community Affairs office, and her work as co–managing editor of Off the Cuff, a student-led fashion and art magazine. Kazi also offers her thoughts on the best ways to manage those who work for you.
