Ziggy was a ray of sunshine in Archaeology, he was a major of archaeology and work-study student in our office.  Ziggy was always happy and positive, a real joy to be around.

 

SIGMUND ‘ZIGGY’ GURNICK

Sigmund R. ‘Ziggy’ Gurnick, 23, died Friday, September, 25, 2009 at his father’s residence in Ocean, N.J. Born in Somerville, he resided in Hillsborough for eleven years before moving to Bridgewater eleven years ago. Ziggy was a communicant of Immaculate Conception R.C. Church in Somerville. He was a recent graduate of Boston University and an Actor. He was a member of the Screens Actors Guild (SAG). He had a strong passion for acting. While attending Bridgewater-Raritan High School, he was a member of the Drama Club and he had the lead role in most of the school productions. Ziggy was an avid Yankee fan and sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed playing baseball. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and cherished friends.
Surviving are his loving parents, Sigmund ‘Ziggy’ Gurnick of Ocean, and Rose M. Apriglano Kraemer and husband, Tom of Bridgewater; his beloved brother, Evan Gurnick of Bridgewater; his cherished sister, Natasha Coffey and husband, Robert of Royal Palm Beach, FL; his cherished aunts and uncles, Angela and Mark Douglass of Flemington, Michele and Jed Delgado of Easton, PA and Mary Ann Gurnick of Hillsborough. Also surviving are several cousins.
Funeral services will begin with a prayer on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 10:15 AM at the Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638 followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, 15 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bridgewater. Viewing hours are Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
