Zooarchaeology, Indigenous archaeology, North American and Arctic archaeology, Subsistence
Jessica Buckley is interested in zooarchaeology across North America. Her undergraduate research has focused on zooarchaeological projects in Alaska, looking at human-animal relations, environmental contexts, and foodways. Her honor’s thesis research, featured in The Brink, analyzes subsistence through shellfish analysis.
Awarded the Edwin S. and Ruth M. White Prize from the Boston University Center for the Humanities
